Bio
Ricardo Petersen is a South African born PGA Golf Professional originally from Cape Town.
He began his apprenticeship at Helderberg golf academy in 2014 providing juniors lessons, masterclasses, group lessons, beginner clinics as well as private lessons.
From 2015 until 2018 Ricardo honed his coaching skills full time at Helderberg golf academy as a fully qualified golf instructor after finishing his PGA apprentiship .
In 2015 Ricardo worked alongside the golf organisation called South Africa Golf Development Board. He taught kids from disadvantage backgrounds the game of golf where he would provide lessons on a weekly basis and organised golf tournaments and fun days on a monthly schedule.
In 2018 Ricardo brought his skills to Asia with Club Med Resorts based Guilin, China. Teaching groups and focusing on new and beginner golfers pathways into the game and was very successful until the Covid era started and he had to leave China. He now joins our Academy in Kota Kinabalu.
